Developed for the hunter who needs extra-long-range control of his dogs, SportDOG Brand had introduced the HoundHunter remote trainer, Model SD-3200. As its name implies, one of HoundHunter’s main strengths is its long-distance capabilities. The pistol-grip style transmitter and rugged collar-receiver provide up to 2 miles of range, making it ideal for controlling coon dogs, bear dogs, beagles and big-running pointing dogs.
Like all models in SportDOG Brand’s growing, innovative product line, the SportHunter offers a long list of features and benefits that reflect the company’s dedication to living up to its philosophy of providing hunters with “The Gear You’d Design.”
The transmitter fits the user’s hand like no other. Its ergonomic design allows quick and easy operation and eliminates having to look down at the transmitter to make a correction. It is rugged and completely waterproof. To eliminate downtime, the transmitter operates on a 9-volt alkaline battery that can be quickly changed in the field. The transmitter is covered in a soft-touch coating for comfort. The 3200 transmitter provides up to 8 levels of correction, so it can be used for everything from obedience training to stopping an out-of-control chase at long distances.
The HoundHunter’s SDR-H HoundHunter Add-A-Dog - High Power Receiver operates on a long-life (70-100 hours between charges), rechargeable Nickel-Metal Hydride battery for trouble-free use. Like all models in the SportDOG rechargeable line, the waterproof receiver is engineered to operate in any weather conditions. Its low-battery warning light ensures a hunter never has to cut short a day of hunting because of a dead battery.
Controlling multiple dogs in the field is dramatically simpler with this system than any other.
The HoundHunter transmitter can operate up to four collars via a color-coded toggle switch. The system comes with one collar; simply purchase any SportDOG Add-A-Dog collars as needed. The user-friendly collars are easily matched to the transmitter for instant operation. Also included are two interchangeable collar straps (green and orange) and two antennas (31/2 and 7 inches). The user can choose from two modes: in Mode 1 (factory setting), four dogs can be controlled with continuous stimulation. In Mode 2, two dogs can be controlled with continuous or momentary stimulation. Night hunters will also appreciate the spare set of GlowGrip handles that glow in the dark.
